Revision Total Knee Arthroplasty
Revision total knee arthroplasty is a complex and strenuous procedure for the treatment of failed primary TKA most often after loosening (septic or aseptic) or periprosthetic fractures. Special implants are used to replace the damaged parts of the knee. The demanding nature of the operation requires orthopedic surgeons with advanced skills on reconstructive and trauma procedures. The revision total knee arthroplasty can be performed either in one or two stages, depending on the revision indications.
